Locking mailboxes are optional and
are
available on all wall mounted mailboxes. Underneath the
top lid is a secondary lid outfitted with a lock. This
underneath lid is also outfitted with a slot for the mail carrier to
place your mail into the mailbox. In order to retrieve your
mail, you simply lift the top lid then unlock the second lower
lid. That is all it takes. Regardless if you order a
brass or copper locking mailbox, the locking mailboxes have an
internal lid that will be
constructed of solid brass. This is because brass is
slightly more rigid than copper. As a further note, the
internal lid is on hinges and cannot be removed. Two keys
will be supplied with your order also. If ever necessary,
the lock can easily be changed out with a standard file cabinet
type lock found at your local Home depot or Lowes.
No longer will you have to settle
for the plain looks of other locking mailboxes. Now you
can enjoy the quality and decorative looks of our wall mounted
brass and copper mailboxes.
