This decorative floral basket brass or copper mailbox is handcrafted to your choice, and at 9" tall by 15" wide, these antiqued mailboxes are sure to get the job done.  Like our other engraved models, the decorative engravings expose the shiny inner surface of the brass or copper mailboxes.  A clear lacquer is then applied to preserve the shine.  Each of the four hinges are of copper.  Mounting hardware is included with each  mailbox.  Your selection of material and profile is made during your purchase selection.  (More Info.)

Will the  nonlaquered mailboxes continue to age?

The unlaquered mailboxes will continue to age according to your unique environment.  A quick note, some customers are surprised after first handling their uncoated mailbox when installing.  A day or so later they may see finger smudge marks from the oil of ones skin on the mailbox.  These marks will go away as the days progress.  The morning dew, rain, temperature changes, etc. will all have a positive effect on your box to make it unique to your own environment.  These environmental conditions will "harden" your mailbox so that future finger oils and the like shall not have an effect anymore.  This all happens rather quickly.
